Tracy's journey after Gastric Bypass Surgery

Gastric Bypass Surgery July 30th 2014

What if my insurance deny my surgery??

Someone ask me a question and I decide to post my thoughts about it.

What if I my insurance don’t pay for my surgery?  What if I am denied?

Would I give up and just keep gaining more and more weight.  The answer is no. I am doing everything as if I am not having the surgery now.  Because I am at the point where I want to have a healthy weight, gaining more weight and letting myself go yet again is not even an option. I hate my weight, I hate the problems that I have from my weight, and I hate this fat that causes so many restrictions. Don’t get me wrong I am not depressed or anything, I am determine and I look forward to getting this weight off.  The same way I complete my bachelor and my master degree which were goals.  I am going to stay focus on my goal which is losing weight.

One thing I know is that everything doesn’t always work out the way you want it to. Sometime things go astray and you have to always have at least two backup plans.  Always keep your eyes on the prize.  I am!!

Hi Tracy. That is the attitude to have. If one door is closed, keep going until another one is open. Like you said, keep your eyes on the prize.

    1. Thanks, I am. The whole point is to lose the weight and get to a healthy weight.

  2. That was a good question. It affords you the opportunity to figure out what other options you have if things don’t go as planned. So as you said, it allows you form at least two backup plans.

I can tell you want this because of how you answered the question. It’s not an easy thing to consider, but you are so realistic about it. It’s why I think you’ll reach your goals regardless of the obstacles you encounter.

I just started following you and your journey, but I’m excited to see where you go! 🙂

    1. Thanks!! I am also. So far I have drop 20 pounds and with the exercising I believe the number will go up. It is hard and I slip but I jump right back on the wagon. Thanks for reading and following.

      1. Congratulations on those 20 pounds! 😀 That is no small feat.

You can slip as many times as is humanly possible. The only thing that matters is that you get back up after each fall. You are doing that and you should be proud of yourself for it. 🙂

      2. I am…I am also learning not to judge myself by the scale because that mechanical sucker will let you down every time. 🙂

      3. Oh gosh, yes! I have a love/hate relationship with my scale. Sometimes it plays nice so I’m all for it, but then it doesn’t cooperate and I have no choice but to hate it. Lol!
Anyway, learning to let go of what the number on the scale is so important. The freedom that comes from it lets you achieve so much more. This time last year, when I initially chose to get fit, I was a slave to the scale and I think that obsession contributed to my depression. This time around, I’m not married to it and it has allowed me to actually enjoy this process. It’s been like night and day. So GOOD! 🙂 I know that when you get there, you’ll feel lighter and oh, so free!
