Can I chose the area where I want to lose weight?

Good evening beautiful people!! Well I called and I called it right. I said I would probably lose the weight in my fat feet and dang if I didn’t.  I was at work walking to the file room when I notice my feet was sliding like crazy in my sandals.  I look down to make sure they were still zipped in the back and notice that each foot was sitting back more at if my shoes were to big.  I am currently in 9 or 10 size depends on how the shoe is made.  I like the ability to be able to buy prettier shoes because of my fat little tree trunks.  However right now I want lose weight in my thighs, back fat or bat wings area.  But if we were able to pick and choose where we lost weight it would be so awesome.   But in the real world that is not possible…. So I need to get out of la-la land.

I have never really been a shoe girl until I lost weight. Plus I can’t go pass a heel that is over 3 and half.  Any higher and I might have to get my new hip replaced.  Plus you will not see me wobbling around and I can’t walk.  I like to be able to walk as natural as possible.  Especially since my orthopedic surgeon made my leg longer with my new hip. I am currently in love with..Lane Bryant and Catherine’s stores.  Their shoes and boots are catered toward wide feet.  Plus they are so comfortable and they have pretty designs that are available in my preferred heights.  The shoes are not to high priced also.  I love the ability to find boots in my size also.  Check them out.  Trust and believe these stores are not paying me to say this.   Have a good day beautiful people!!

Peace, love and happiness!!

I hate my weight loss scale!

scale

Good afternoon beautiful people!

I woke up this morning and started getting my son and I ready to attend church for our Pastor’s Anniversary.  We had another pastor speaking for the Anniversary and his church was accompanying.  So that meant we wouldn’t get out regular seats if we didn’t leave early.  With that being said….I don’t care how much I got to do and if I am in a hurry.  I will always make that stop at the weight scale.  Well this morning the scale was at a stand still as it has been for the last two days.  My first thought after stepping on the little sucker three times and the numbers didn’t change was to throw that bad boy out the window.  Don’t that just piss you off.  I know I am not the only person who wants to pick their scale up and threw it up against the wall because we want to see those numbers go down so bad. However, here is the thing I am doing good because I have lost 6 pounds since I corrected my negative behaviors in one week. I also added some good habits that should keep the scale from going up.  I have looked at my body and examine my thighs and arms trying to figure out which area lost the pounds (that where I want to lose weight).  Knowing my stupid body…I probable lost the weight on my dang feet again.  I went from a size twelve extra wide in shoes to a size nine wide in shoes.   That another post for another day.  Nevertheless I can’t tell where the pounds came off….. but I am really happy with the 6 pounds I lost.

I know I lost six pound but I want to examine what a five pound loss look like. The picture below shows a great example of a 5 pound weight loss versus the weight of a brick.  Then the other pictures are showing 5, 10, 15, 20 pounds weight loss.  I have a friend that recently loss twenty pounds and is really tone and looks real good. You can’t tell them anything they are so happy with their results.  Muscles was popping and they was firm and tight all over.  I was so jealous but trust and believe I understand how they feel. I would really be happy with a twenty pound weight loss.

Nevertheless don’t ever get upset with just one pound lost because that an awesome start. The whole point is not to give up and not think you are doing good. Because even if it is one pound you are still making progress and one pound is better than plus one!

My version of protein blueberry oatmeal yogurt muffin.

Good morning beautiful people.  As you all know when you are on a life change you have to found recipes that are healthy.  With that being said one of my favorite is blueberry anything.  There is a gym in my area that sell protein filled blueberry muffins but they are expensive.  So I wanted to try my own recipe off of Pinterest.  Now I know I haven’t really blog about my cooking  skills however my butt can burn in the kitchen that’s why I gained so much weight over the years.   So with that being said I love looking at a recipes and try to determine if I can make it low fat and low sugar if not sugar free or try low fat recipes.

I I have looked at the almond flour and other flours that are suppose to be really good for you to use as an substitute for flour and I cringe at that the price of $12.00 at my local Walmart, I can’t afford that.  Plus if I use it instead of flour and I hate it,  I will be mad as heck.

Well I tried this recipe and these little bad boys taste good.  I used a 6 pan muffin plan.   For whatever reason they taste even better once they sit overnight!! I have included a picture of my muffins and the recipe is included below.

In for the fight of my life!

Good afternoon everybody! I have to discuss my three year anniversary coming up for my RNY Gastric Bypass  on July 28 and how I am not losing weight.  I have notice that I am  floating between gaining 5 pounds and then losing it.  Even thought my goal weight is only 20 pounds away.  The thought of even hitting 220 makes me cringe and sink down into a depressed mode.  I refused to go back to the old fat lady that couldn’t even walk around Wal-Mart to get grocery without tiring out quickly.

I also blame myself for my kids being overweight.  My son wants to lose about 70 pounds and I feel like my bad eating habits are something that I passed on to him. Not to mention my fatty genes.  Some people argue that there is no such thing as fatty genes but I be to differ on that. Now I know good eating habits could be taught and learned but when you know only how to throw fatback grease in everything you cook. Not county deep frying everything in grease. Eating starchy and bread all day. I found this one research that states that men can passed fatty genes on to their offspring but he could be alter by losing weight also.  However they were not able to prove that fatty genes were heredity.  I will included the link at bottom of the page.

Learning and maintaining  good eating habits are must on any weight loss journey.  I don’t care if you have had the Gastric Bypass or not.  You will never be able to eat any and everything and not worry about health issues such as weight gain or medical issues.  There has not been a way to safe and healthy way to lose weight and keep it off.  Besides eating healthy and exercising on a constant basic.

I am at that point in my journey where unfortunately you can start regaining weight.  THIS is the most crucial time in my life.  I am focusing on maintaining and keeping the weight off for the rest of my life.  Keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I continue to fight this struggle.  Oh how I wish I was one of those that just kept losing weight.  NOT Tracy!!

Love, Peace and Happiness and healthy choices.

Maintaining weight loss after weight surgery.

Good morning Beautiful people! Today is a new day and God see fit to wake me up one more time.   I am really excited for whatever reason about blogging and I don’t know why.

Now I did say this time around for my blogging I was going to branch out do things a little different but I am going to still focus on my weight loss journey because it is ongoing.

One thing about me that is very important to me is cooking.  I love being around the stove creating new low-fat and sugar-free recipes.  On any given day you will find be in Pinterest looking at recipes and I am going through my head on how to reduce the fat and calories intake.  You want food to still taste good and fulfilling because this help you stay in track with your weight loss also.

Shopping has become an obsession.  However, I am a very cheap shopper.   I will be posting some of my deals with pictures.

I am also rejoining the YMCA.  The doctor has said I can restart exercising and I want to try jogging eventually.   Maybe enter a marathon or two.  I can’t wait to join because I have this big handsome 17 son who will be attending with me.  He wants to drop weight and maybe play football his last year in high school next year.  He weighs around 340.  He is my partner in the kitchen and we are going to do this together.  I love both of my awesome children.

God bless!  Love, peace and happiness!

Reaching the year mark after Gastric bypass surgery

image

Omg!  I can not believe it been a year!! Last year this time I was lying on my bed nervous as heck because my surgery was that morning!!  I weighed in at 311 and now I currently weigh 195.

You know for whatever reason people claimed this is the easy way to lose weight.  However I am here to tell you that is not true.  SHELLY my belly controls everything.  She runs this show, if she don’t like it heck….I can’t eat it.   She has her good days and her bad.  I just make sure I get my require proteins in and watch what I eat.  One of the things she had allowed me to eat is sweets. I am ashamed to say I discovered this by accident and I watch it very closely.  I know this is one of the things that can lead back to be being severely overweight again.  However there is a catch. I will dump really bad when I do eat sugar. Man I tell you what ….Shelly be cussing my butt out making all kinds of weird noises and movements.  Then I can break a bathroom apart and put the S in sewer and man my poots could blow a hole in wall.  You talking about negative repercussions!!  All for a little bit of sugar.

I went to my one year check up and was surprised to learn that I can’t eat watermelon.  I love watermelon, strawberries…I snack on both a lot.  Now I have to leave the watermelon alone.

Nevertheless I would not change my life for nothing because this surgery saved my life.

Have a blessed day!!  Love,  peace and happiness!!

From Women size 28 to Misses size 14

Omg, I am so excited!! I cannot believe that I am can wear a size 14.  What you have to understand is that I haven’t worn a size 14 since 1989.  This was the year I graduated from high school.   However there is a huge different with my body compare to my previous 18 years old body.  For instant I weight around 160 pounds and the booty use to sit up like a soldier, now that sucker sags like a bag of coal. However I am working on toning that bad sucker up.
Let’s not talk about the bat wings.  Those suckers be trying to take flight.  They are so ugly and I am very conscious about what I wear to make sure I hide them.
Don’t get me wrong there are several good things that have happened with the body.  One of the things is wearing bracelets, before my wrist were to BIG and I couldn’t get any bracelets to fit over my chubby hands.  Now I wear all sorts of bracelets.
One of my favorite stores down here in the south is Cato’s.  They have a plus size on one side of the store from sizes 14 to 28 and Missy/Junior size on the other sides of the store sizes from 4 to 18.  At this time I am happy to report that I can officially shop on the Missy/Junior side.  I go in Cato’s so much they know me by name.  I also go to my local Goodwill and buy clothes.  Because of my ever shrinking body and this helps me save a lot of money.
Now don’t get me wrong…I am not being sponsor or have I been told to post about Cato’s…. however I love this store.  Check out some of my pictures with me sporting their lovely tops from here.
