Tracy's journey after Gastric Bypass Surgery

Gastric Bypass Surgery July 30th 2014

I did it, I did it, I did it!!

I did it, I did it, I did it (in my Sponge Bob voice)!  I have lost 9 pounds.  I saw my nutritionist on November 26th and I had gain 3 of the 4 pounds I lost the previous two weeks before.  I do believe that some of that could have been water retention because I had a lot of swelling going on in my feet and ankles.  But nevertheless it caused me some stress.   However my little bit of weight loss has really, really, really, motivated me.

I also learned something new last night in my group therapy class.  I figure out what are some of my triggers that make me overeat.  For me it is making good choices and being aware of what I can eat when I am not at home.  Because I do work in an office environment and we eat out a lot.  This tends to  be the time when I make bad food choices.  One other thing is moderation…focusing on eating smaller amounts to control calorie intake.

I am learning, adapting and accepting that if I want to live a long and healthy life I got to lose this weight and keep it off.

PEACE, LOVE and HAPPINESS
